Elections

WALT: Write an effective argument for our chosen political party.

Have you made your mind up about the election? Well i think National is the best party to vote for because they have the best plans for new zealand. I will be talking to you about why you should vote for National. In my first sentence I will be talking to you about Increase funding for early childhood education.

My first policy I will talk about is: Increase funding for early childhood education.
They will be helping the children that can not achieve their standard. So National will be giving $386 million dollars to help those kids.  This will help because kids that are not able to get to there standard in schooling.  Furthermore,  kids will be able to get to what they are trying to get to and they will have an easier year at school. The next thing I’m going to talk about is SIDS.

My second policy I will talk about is: Expand the programme to reduce Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy National want to expand the program to rescue sudden unexpected deaths in infancy. So they will help the program and expand it. They will also help and find out what is going on and they will it find out.  In my next sentence I will be talking about a party that I disagree with and why.

Now I will be talking about the Maori party and what I disagree with. build more than 90,000 homes before 2022 .The Maori party wants to build more than 90,000 homes before 2022.  If we do then We will have to use land from animals and we will have nowhere to keep our pets. Then We may have to remove forster and bike tracks so we will be killing possums home and then they will have nowhere to live.

As you can see this is why I think you should vote for National and National has the best future plans for babies and kids. I have talked about the future plans about schooling and the future of SIDS.

So I know who I'm gonna vote for do you.

My Current Events from term 2

Current Events Term 2, 2017

WALT: I can successfully research a current event.
Here is a link to our online modelling book for this unit of learning.

The National Standard that I have been aiming for during this unit of learning is:
  • Year7/8: I can use appropriate skills and technologies to find and use a range of texts for specific purposes.

Each week we have read a short text about a current event/ topic. We then formed questions based on what we had read.  After this we researched the answers to our questions and finally we gave our opinions on what we had found out.

Here is some evidence of my learning.

  Careers Education C.V. Writing

In CAREERS EDUCATION we have been learning to write a skills based Curriculum Vitae.

A skills based C.V. focuses more on the skills that we have,  rather than our work history.

Here is a link to our online Modelling Book that shows the process we have followed.

Three things that I have learned about writing a Curriculum Vitae are:

  1. One thing that i have learnt that you have to be cechinel with your sentes.

  1. Another thing that i learnt is that if you say that you are good with you set out in something like writing you have show is in your writing.

  1. You have to show that you are the right person for that job.

my favourite book of term 1

All fall down by Ally Carter

It is about a girl and that nobody believes her and there is no-one that she can trust. Her mother was murdered and some day she is going to find the killer and make him pay.
a girl called grace her past has came to haunt her and if she doesn't stop is Grace isn't the only one who will get hurt.

I think this is a good book because you can not stop reading it. So go and read it.
